“I went through a website called Needle & Shears to order custom made white denim slipcovers that would match the new sofas from Ikea. … I googled till my eyes crossed searching for the cheapest (but good looking) semi-custom slipcovers I could find, but no luck.
Then finally, I found this company (Needle & Shears). They sent me fabric samples … I picked a soft brushed white denim, and the total for my order was $650, about half the price of every other quote I was able to get for custom slipcovers. … you email them very detailed photographs of your furniture … then you take VERY detailed measurements of every last part of the furniture ... Then you send it all to them and hope you did a good enough job. … I only was able to sleep that night knowing they have a guarantee … They came in today. And by some miracle, they are absolutely perfect.”

Couldn't be more pleased! I had two new casual sofas but had grown to hate the color and fabric of the slipcovers. I found Needle & Shears on-line and was hesitant to order such a custom product on-line, but the outcome was perfect! The first step is to take photos of your sofas and the company will then send you measurement requests based on the type and style of your sofa. The measurement requests are detailed, but easy to follow ...and if you are careful and double-check your work the sizing will be accurate.
I was having a special event at my home and made it clear that I needed the slipcovers in time for the event, and the Needle & Shears team was very sensitive to that request and although it did take several weeks to complete the project as they described, the covers were delivered on time for the event and actually earlier than I was expecting. They are beautifully made with a quality fabric and lining, The color is muted and very pretty, The slipcovers even smelled lovely, fresh and new! They were easy to put on and although the cushion backs are a tad loose because the filling is loose, that is the style I was going for...casual, comfy. The fabric is so soft, I received many many compliments from guests at my event. The caterers even asked if I "was a designer?" HA! I am very pleased and the team was very responsive to my emails and questions. It is not a project that you can expect to complete in a week, it takes time but again they are custom made and worth every penny in my opinion. Isabella K., Madison CT

We absolutely love our new slipcovers for our sectional. Our sectional is just under 3 years old, but the original fabric definitely left something to be desired in terms of being pet friendly, easy to clean and not stretching out when you sat down on it. I saw needle and shears' ad in multiple magazines and decided to give it a try. I was optimistic but also definitely nervous about how the fit would be. It's absolutely wonderful! It's a bit of a long process, but it was worth the wait. our sectional not only looks fantastic, but it feels brand new, the good fitting cushion covers and sturdier material actually make the cushions feel firmer. I would definitely recommend them - Kristen R., Summerville SC

This was my second order to Needle and Shears -
Both projects turned out beautifully!
First was a love seat with cushions --
2nd project was 2 wing chairs with cushions -
Both required lots of measuring and re-measuring on my part. The designers did a great job asking questions to clarify my measurements. For the wing chairs, they had me send templates of the curves on the chairs. Thank goodness for the back and forth questions - the fit was great! The whole process took about 3 months - I knew this going in based on my first project. Fabric is beautiful and washable. Great price for this custom work. - Katherine W., Marshall VA

OK, pun intended here, but my Needles & Shears experience was a seamless process. This review may be a little long but I hope to answer some of the questions I had when starting. I had some vintage upholstered scroll back parson chairs that were covered in a pink velour, so I attempted to cover them myself but just didn't have the time to complete. I then started searching the internet and found N&S and was immediately impressed with the flow of their website. After, I received samples I immediately made contact and followed all the instructions explicitly, measuring twice. I paid the initial 50% payment of 220.00 when I sent in the measurements, then the remainder before they went to production. I chose the Urbana style in Brazil-Penny because I wanted a more tailored look. The pics you see look pinkish but that's just my crappy phone cam, they are instead the richest softest most beautiful shade of rust. I ordered these back in October and was given a before the end of December date, they arrived the week before Christmas. When I removed them from the box they were very wrinkled but that didn't disappoint because the construction was amazing. . . . Needless to say I am very pleased with the entire process, look and pricing for my four chairs at less than 500.00 and they look amazing in my dining room. On to the next room. One more thing you actually communicate with a person by phone of via email. Thanks N&S. - Janice S., Webster TX
